Welcome to First Baptist!  We are delighted that God has led you here today and we trust that you felt God’s presence from the moment you navigated on to this site. This is God’s church – a fellowship of believers from various walks in life, bound together by our common faith in Jesus Christ as the only hope for mankind.  FBCN exists because of Him and it exists to bring Him glory. We don’t pretend to be a perfect people, but we gratefully acknowledge that we are all simply “sinners, saved by grace”.  It is our prayer that every experience that you have with FBCN will honor our Lord and His unspeakable gift of grace!

"The purpose of First Baptist Church of Niceville is to produce maturing disciples who are growing in wisdom, stature, and favor with God and with people"
Adopted August, 2007

Our purupose statement was adopted in August, 2007 and is based on Luke 2:52 which says:  "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man".  As we studied this scripture the idea of continuing toward spiritual maturity began to take root.  The process is one in which we are ever pressing toward the mark, but never arriving.  Our thoughts turned to to characteristcs of maturing disciples and we came up with the following traits.

Some Characteristics of Maturing Disciples

  • Love God by spending time in His Word
  • Love God by developing the character of Christ
  • Love God through worship and obedience
  • Love others through relationships and service
  • Love others through personal evangelism

Producing Maturing Disciples
Our desire to make spiritual maturity a top priority led us to the  development of a 4 year plan of Bible Study and implementation of Luke 2:52.  Each year our Pastoral Staff and Leadership develops a manual for daily use and corporate Bible Study designed to help us continue on the path of Spiritual maturity.  A manual may be obtained at the Office during normal Office hours.

The yearly themes are:
2009  Growing in wisdom by Learning and Living God’s Word
2010  Growing in stature by Developing the mind and character of Christ
2011  Growing in favor with God through Worship and Obedience
2012  Growing in favor with man through Relationships & Service
