2012 Opportunities

Boston Mission Trip
June 23-June 29, 2012

Purpose: 
Support Church Planter/Local Pastor Bland Mason at City on a Hill Church in the Brookline area of Boston. 
 

Land Cost: $200

• Local Transportation- $15 (Unlimited "T" (Subway and Bus fare)
• Lodging - $10/night/person in City of a Hill flat ($70)
• Food - ~$100 (Some meals at lodging location occasional eating out over a 7 day period)
• Entertainment - $50 - $75 (sightseeing/tours if you desire.  Most activities are free)

Airfare:
Approximately $400. Cost will be determined at time of ticketing. Individuals are responsible for additional baggage fees.

Deadlines:
Trip is limited to 15.  The first 15 people to provide a non-refundable $70 deposit will be placed on the list to go.  Others will be placed on a wait list.  Deposits will be refunded only if someone from the wait list is available to take your slot.

Tentative Itinerary (2012 trip):

• Friday - Depart VPS for Boston Logan.  Arrive at lodging (Brownstone owned by COAH)
• Saturday - support COAH Saturday in the Park
• Sunday - Attend Worship Service at COAH 10:30 AM.  Help with setup/tear down.
• Monday - Thursday:
  • M-W - Support an Artist Kids Camp (Several profession artists will be conducting a COAH - sponsored camp at Discoll Middle School.  We'll be providing logistics support.)
  • Prayer Walking, Granola Bar servant evangelism, maintenance on COAH properties.
• Friday - Depart DOS for home.

 Operation Christmas Child (Shoebox Ministry) Trip to Atlanta Processing Center

November 2012

Purpose: 
FBCN member volunteers will travel to the Atlanta Project Child Shoebox Processing Center in joint effort with other volunteers from the Southeast to prepare collected shoeboxes.  In addition, we will have our annual trip for FBCN members to Atlanta OCC (Samaritan Purse) Showbox Ministry Processing Center.  The purpose of this trip will be to assist other volunteers in preparing collected showboxes from the southeast US before shipment to children around the world.

 FBCN Partner-led Mission Trips

International Impact Ministries 

Purpose: 
Support Impact Ministries (Pastor Charles Pinkerton) with mission work with Caribbean and Latin America.  for more information go to www.internationallimpacministries.com 

Trip Costs:
Trip costs from $700 to $350.  This does not include airfare and export tax from country (when you do purchase airline tickets ask about export tax since they vary by country).  All prices for trips include housing, food, ground transportation, and basic project costs.
