Angel Tree - Each year, FBCN has the opportunity to provide Christmas presents for local children whose parent(s) is incarcerated. Contact: Anita Devuyst or the Church Office, 678.4621.

Benevolent Ministry - Meeting benevolent needs across the community. Hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, 9:30 AM-12:30 PM. Training is required. Contact: Mary Wright, 678-2038.

Bless A Child - Partnering with Sharing and Caring, FBCN helps provide Christmas gifts for families in our community. This is a great mission opportunity for individuals, families or Bible study classes. Contact: Brenda Floyd Cook, 678.4621, reception@fbcniceville.org.

Cold Night Shelter -  Cold Night Shelter Provides a safe, warm place to stay and a hot meal for the local homeless on nights that fall below 40 degrees.  This ministry is in partnership with other local churches and is an extension of the FBCN     Benevolent Ministry.  FBCN will provide the shelter on Monday nights (when temperature forecast is  below 40). We need to provide teams of at least 3 volunteers to work shifts starting at 6 PM and ending at 8 AM the following morning. Training is provided. Crossroads Center Medical Clinic - provides free healthcare for the area's low income uninsured residents.  It is located at 444 Valparaiso Parkway, Building C on the First Baptist Church of Valparaiso campus.  Contact: Hershel Adams, 850.729.1266

English as a Second Language (ESL) - Free instruction in conversational English and citizenship preparation. Small class sizes.  We offer six levels of English from Literacy level (students who speak little or no English) through Advanced English level. Faithful Fingers Quilting Ministry - A group that prays together, laughs together, creates together, learns from each other and shares the love of compassion of Jesus Christ through making and providing quilts and prayer squares to those suffering illness, mission groups working with young children, and our Service members. Opportunities also exist to donate 100% cotton fabric, all purpose machine quilting thread, Singer sewing machine needles size 11-14, and 2 or more yards unbleached or bleached cotton muslin. This group meets the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM in the Gym. Contact: Michelle McKinnon, Yoshi Neal, Juanita Thomas or the Church Office 678.4621.

First Impressions - The purpose of the “First Impressions Ministry” is to provide a comprehensive approach to engaging both visitors and members.  We are bringing on board team members ranging from college-age students through senior adults.  The ministry involves team members outside at the entrances and the parking lot area to greet people and ensure they are “welcomed” to our church and escorted to a Welcome Center for additional materials, then on to the appropriate Worship Service or Sunday School Class.  Team members will also serve as Ushers to seat people and receive the worship offering. We are continuing to seek volunteers willing to serve a portion of one Sunday Morning each month, either from 8:30-10:20; or 10:15-12:00.  If you love people and would like to serve, please contact Jim Phillips at fi@fbcniceville.org or at 897.6438.  

First Touch Ministry - A monthly ministry which performs servant evangelism to new members of the community on the 2nd Sunday of each month by gifting a loaf of fresh baked bread, a simple Gospel tract and a heartfelt invitation to join the FBCN Church body. This ministry is empowered by the Holy Spirit working through its members by emulating Christ's work of reaching out to the lost and ministering to their needs. Gang Rescue - A Christian organization which stands on the teachings of the Holy Bible. It is not affiliated directly with any particular church, but welcomes volunteers from many churches across the Panhandle of Florida and the Mobile area. Gang Rescue conducts weekly worship services and Bible studies  at six Department of Juvenile Justice Correctional Facilities in the Panhandle of Florida sharing the Gospel message of Jesus Christ. Homefront Ministry - This ministry focuses on the unique needs of deployed military members and their families. Care packages and cards are sent throughout the year. The ministry will evolve as needs change. Contact: Ken Pickler, 376.9570, fbcnhomefront@embarqmail.com.

Local School Tutoring - Approximately fifteen (15-30) adults are needed to serve in a tutoring ministry at Edge School called RTI. This is a nationwide program that is replacing the Exceptional Student Education (ESE) program. The goal of RTI is to meet the needs of struggling students immediately instead of waiting for them to fail. Niceville High School Football Breakfast - We provide breakfast on Friday morning for our local high school football team and  coaches every game through the season. Contact: Roger Barrett, 678.6399, rkdm@cox.net.

Nursing Home Ministry - Teams conduct monthly Worship at local facilities and establish regular contact with the residents to make them feel part of the Church family. Contact: Tom Wright, 678.2038, testtom3@valp.net.

OneHarvest Food Ministry is a non-profit, non-denominational, faith based organization that is committed to helping American families by offering an affordable family meal solution that provides high quality food choices.  There are no qualifications, minimums, income restrictions, or applications. Operation Christmas Child - FBCN members have the opportunity to fill plastic shoeboxes with recommended items to provide Christmas to children around the world. Contact: Joy Love, joy.love1@cox.net or Connie Phillips, conniecri@aol.com

Sharing and Caring - FBCN collects school supplies in August and non-perishable food in October. Contact: Jean Smith or the Church Office, 678.4621.

Thanksgiving Dinner - FBCN provides Thanksgiving dinner to our community. Teams also deliver dinner to those who are unable to come to the Church and to employees of businesses that are open on Thanksgiving Day. Contact: Nancy Grigsby, 897.5196, nancy.grigsby@fmc-na.com.

Vacation Bible School - Summer Bible school for ages 4 - Grade 5, June/July. Activities include Worship rally, Bible study, crafts, music, missions, recreation and snacks.  A background check (FBCN pays for) and volunteer training by Chick-fil-A is required. WinShape Camps for Communities- A week-long day camp for children grades 1 - 6, sponsored by Chick-fil-A.  Volunteers must be 16 years of age and completed the 10th grade. A background check (FBCN pays for) and volunteer training by Chick-fil-A is required.
